Miss Schwaben

The Miss Schwaben pageant is a yearly event. Unmarried women aged 16 and older who are active members of the Schwaben Club may enter the pageant. Contestants are asked to demonstrate knowledge of the club and the heritage of the Schwaben people. While being of Schwabian decent is an asset, it is not a requirement to compete in the pageant.

The woman who is crowned Miss Schwaben will represent the club and our heritage for the entire year. She may also be asked to compete in the Miss Kitchener-Waterloo pageant. As the ambassador of the club, Miss Schwaben will appear at all Club functions to greet guests and say a few words. Women interested in competing in the Miss Schwaben pageant should contact Peter Speckner through the Club early in the year, if they wish to compete.

Miss Schwaben 2010 is Mishi Savulescu

Mishi Savulescu is currently working at the University of Waterloo as the Molecular Core Manager, in charge of DNA sequencing and Flow Cytometry for the University. She is an avid soccer player and loves to dance. She joined the club in 2009, and has been dancing with the Schwaben Dancers ever since. She is excited to learn more about the Schwaben traditions and is looking forward to an unforgettable, upcoming year as Miss Schwaben 2010.
